Current Exhibition

In this current exhibition, the Museum presents a selection from its extensive collection of over two thousand pieces of carefully curated collection, which comprises works by pioneers and leading exponents of the visual arts from the Philippines and around the world. This selection reflects four main tendencies in the evolution of the Philippines' modern and contemporary art: the landscape painting tradition of the early 20th century, the abstract paintings of the 2000's in which artists search for synthesis between eastern and western art, works illustrating the place of figure painting in everyday life, and compositions interpreting the cultural values of the Philippines from a new perspective.
